NEW LEARNING CENTER TO OPEN IN 2008

This summer, under the direction of Class A LPGA Teaching
Professional Suellen Northrop, the Chautauqua Golf Learning Center introduces a seris of One Day clinics, Weekly golf classes and longer golf “camps,” designed to serve golfers of all ages and skill levels.

REGISTRATION FOR THE FOLLOWING CLINICS/CLASSES IS THROUGH THE CHAUTAUQUA GOLF LEARNING CENTER AT (716) 357-6480. CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED AND PRE-REGISTRATION IS ENCOURAGED. REGISTRATION BEGINS APRIL 15, 2008.

JUNIOR GOLF OPPORTUNITIES

NOVICE JUNIOR GOLF CAMP
Suellen Northrop, Director of Instruction

This camp is an intensive nine hour golf skills improvement class
designed for the Junior Golfer with little or no golf course experience. We’ll use the new Learning Center practice tee to work on your swing and all 3 practice holes to gain golf course experience.

Maximum enrollment: 10. Ages: 8–17.
Week 2, July 1-3, Week 3, July 8–10; Week 5, July 22–24;
Week 7, Aug. 5–7 / Tu–Th / 1–4 p.m. / Chautauqua Golf Club

Fee: 1 week (3 sessions) ...........................................................$90
(All registrants will also receive a complimentary one-day pass to the Learning Center.)

PRIVATE GOLF LESSONS

GOLF FOR VERY YOUNG (PEE WEES 4-7)

A fun-filled introduction to the world of golf for our youngest
players. Extra big golf balls and fun-filled games to play. Maximum enrollment: 12. Ages 4–7.

PLAYER’S JUNIOR GOLF CAMP

This camp is an intensive nine hour golf skills improvement class. If you are a junior golfer who loves the game and really wants to get better, this Junior Golf Camp is right for you. We’ll work on your swing, on course playing strategies, shot selection and scoring secrets. Player’s Camp prerequisites include previous golf instruction, golf course experience including keeping score, and a desire to improve current golf ability. Failure to meet prerequisites may require a change in golf camp assignment. Enrollment is limited to ONE camp per summer
(waiting list sign-up is permissible). Maximum enrollment: 10.
Ages: 10–17.

JUNIOR “GROW YOUR GAME” WEEKLY CLINICS

swing, short shots, putting, and practice and playing strategies.
New golfers welcome. Maximum enrollment: 12. Ages 8-14.

JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE

Early Monday morning tee times for Junior golfers 8-17. This
golf league has six weeks of play with an ending Junior Open
Tournament August 11. Prerequisites for league play include
verification of previous course experience through a school
golf coach, or USGA handicap card or a golf performance test
administered by one of our Chautauqua Golf professionals.
One hour free golf instruction follows 9-hole play.
Ages: 8–17.

GOLF 101

This class, for the novice golfer, is designed to help you make
the ball fly. Experience all aspects of the game including full
swing, pitching, putting and chipping. Maximum enrollment:

EVENING GOLF SCHOOLS

If our schedule doesn’t fit yours – we customize! Form your own
Golf School group of 4-6. This comprehensive 3 hours of instruction can be geared to one of three school topics: Shortgame School (60 yards and in), Ball Striking School for Full swing or Scoring Techniques to break your scoring barriers. Maximum enrollment: 6.
Minimum age: 14.
Usually available 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday or Thursday evenings.

FAMILY GOLF OPPORTUNITIES

FAMILY GOLF FRIDAYS

Come and join us any Friday evening for family fun, food and
golf. Your family of 3 to 7 players can tee it up for 6 holes in a funfilled “Step Aside Scramble” on a combination of our Hill course and Learning Center Practice Holes. The only requirement is that one member of the family needs to be a golfer! The fun starts at 5
p.m. on Fridays. Ages: 6–86. This is a walking event with pull
carts available. Pizza follows the event.
